Our company (Fehérvár Travel) is a tour operator company, organizing group tours (mainly roundtrips, city-visits and exotic tours). In this sector we have been the market-leader in Hungary for 20 years. About 60% of our organized programs are coach-tours (departing from Budapest and Székesfehérvár) and 40% of them are plane-groups (departing mostly from Liszt Ferenc Airport, Budapest-Ferihegy). About half of our clients are from the capital, but there are also a lot of guests from all regions of Hungary. Lot of them have participated in Fehérvár Travel tours more than 30 times, but there are some regular guests who have already travelled with us more than 100 times.

We publish our summer catalogue usually in February every year (including offers from April to November), but since 2002 there have been also a separate issue for the winter period (from November to April), including exotic tours to overseas destinations, and coach groups for the Advent, New Year and Carnival season as well.

Before a new destination / program is published among our offers, it is always carefully pre-checked  and travelled around by us. The principle in compiling an itinerary is always to ensure the possibility for travelers to get acquainted with the culture, history, geography, sights of the given country or region; but it is also very important to organize tours that are entertaining and relaxing, not overly exhausting for our guests.
Thanks to this careful preparation and preliminary works, when a program is included among our offers, it will remain there for many years / decades.

In order to organize the group roundtrips and city tours on a high standard, we only perform very few additional travel-related activities. For example, we sell travel insurance, sell holiday offers of other Hungarian tour operators, but we do not sell event tickets, entrance tickets, don’t deal with currency exchange, individual visa administration, or organizing inbound tours.

There are 50 colleagues working in our office, most of them are graduated from college or university. Languages spoken by our colleagues are: English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Romanian and Russian.

Apart from the office staff, we work with about 50 tour leaders, many of them – according to our guests’ opinions – are the best of their profession among Hungarian tour leaders. All of them are well-trained and very familiar with the history, culture and customs of the destination countries.

Our coach groups are operated with about 20 luxury buses (with a capacity of 48-49 pax), 15 of them are owned by Fehérvár Travel.
Our coaches are operated by Fehérvár Travel Coach Ltd., which is the subsidiary company of Fehérvár Travel Ltd. The average age of these vehicles is about 4,5 years.
The air-conditioned coaches of our subcontractors (Mercedes, VDL, Setra) are also in excellent condition.
The buses we use are all 48-49 seater coaches and are equipped with air conditioning, toilet, media-, or CD-DVD player, navigation system, hot drink machine and beverage fridge.
The experienced bus drivers usually have a very high level of local knowledge in the destination countries.

Péter Ribi, the managing director of our company has a polytechnic university degree, 3 advanced-level language exams (English, German, Russian), and after spending a couple of years in software-development, he decided to change profession. As a tour leader and a tourist he has travelled to many countries of the world, graduated from the necessary travel and tourism schools, and has been managing Fehérvár Travel since its foundation in 1996.

The below chart shows the number of our published groups in the past years, which continuously grew year by year until 2020, the start of the pandemic.
(The number of groups published in the winter catalogues is always included for the new year, because most of the winter groups depart after the 1st of January.)

Our company offers many favourable options to our guests:
– inclusive travel-cancellation insurance in all tours;
– optional programs with guaranteed departures;
– extra discounted hotel offers in Budapest and Székesfehérvár for the night before / after the tours;
– associating/gathering of those travelling alone (for clients who accept to be accommodated with another single passenger but end up not having a roommate by departure, we pay the single supplement);
– sightseeing with modern audio-guides (provided for about 80% of the groups, where it is most needed – according to the experiences).

According to the tourism law in Hungary, tour operators need to place a property security deposit for the case of any unexpected financial situation. The common practice is that Hungarian tour operators pay insurance for this purpose. But our company has placed its security deposit at OTP Bank, which also proves our stable financial background.

We own and are currenty operating in a centrally located office building in Székesfehérvár (with an area of more than 1000 square meters); also a 240 and a 55 square meters property is in our possession (located in the historical center); just like 15 of 48-49 seater luxury coaches and the headquarter of our busses on a 1 acre groud.
